The Doktor a true visionary

Miha Šegula has started his Wine Grover and Winemaker's career with the vintage od 2009, at that time at his father in law's small wine cellar in Vrtojba, close to Nova Gorica. He imbottled his first barrique barrel of Merlot. The Joy at the tasting of matured Wine, gave him a new push and in 2016 he has passed a Wine Cellar exam and took over the Merlot Vineyard in Vrtojbi, in 2017 he leased a Malvasia Wineyard in Sempetru at Gorica and in 2018 bought his first Wineyard under the Zemono Manor House close to the city of Vipava. In 2020 he passed a sommelier exam and has won in 2021 his first silver medal at Decanter World Wide Award for his Merlot 2018. His goal is mainly to produce excellent red cuvees.

The Urban Wine Cellar with tradition »since« 2021 lies in the urban center of city of Nova Gorica in the Wine-growing area Vipava Valley, bordering the Wine-growing area of Goriška Brda. The Cellar has been set in the 50 years old Boiler House, which has once supplied the heat to the nearby football stadium, gym and few business premises. Complete processing of the grapes (cooling, separation from stem, pressing) is beeing done in the city center, as well as fermentation and maturing of the wine. You can also see two own tecnological inovations in the cellar – leading off the cellar dangerous CO2 during the fermentation and modern »bâtonnage« - each of 30 wooden barrels lies on wheels on its own metal support. There is also a place with 32 seats for wine tasting, accompanied with snacks or catering for  appointed parties of 16 people. Appointed parties can also get whole-day party with karaoke and dance. There is a terrace next to the wine cellar with 24 seats.
